Season closed in Bláfjöll

We regretfully announce that the season in Bláfjöll has come to an end this winter. No snow arrived over the weekend as forecasts had led us to hope, and all ski runs are broken in one or more places, along with lift tracks, following the warm period in late March and early April. It is therefore clear that Easter skiing will not be possible this year, and this is the final outcome. This was the winter that never really came. There were 36 opening days, but despite the few operating days, this was the fourth-best season in terms of attendance. According to gate counts, 78,166 guests used the lifts, and 2,079 visitors came to the cross-country skiing area.

The first 12-15 operating days this winter were entirely made possible by snow production, which has proven its worth for the second year in a row.

The staff of Bláfjöll thanks you for the winter season.
